Natural State Pest Control Case Study

After only six months with a competitor, Natural State Pest Control needed a better solution.

About the Company

Natural State Pest Control is a locally owned and operated pest control provider based in Lowell, AR. With more than 14 technicians, more than three office staff, and three sales representatives, they have been in business for three years, and they provide services in and around Northwest Arkansas. Its core values are B.E.S.T – Bold, Excellence, Service, Trust – and it strives to implement these into their service every day.

The Challenge

Natural State Pest Control tried a FieldRoutes™ software competitor for six months. It felt antiquated, was not user-friendly, and it was difficult to navigate. Customer service was hard to reach, and when they did respond, they were referred to the user manual. The reporting wasn’t accurate and last, but not least, monthly invoices were missing or wouldn’t generate. Natural State was wasting time to backtrack and see which customers didn’t receive their invoice, and more importantly, it was losing revenue.

The Solution

Natural State Pest Control was looking for a solution that offered a door-to-door sales app. After being referred by a book author at a conference in Utah, managers thought they would try the FieldRoutes app. They loved how they could see the knock history and that it enabled their sales representatives to sign up a customer right at the door, get their signature, schedule their services, and receive payment from the customer all on their mobile device.

The Impact

One of the biggest advantages that the FieldRoutes™ operations suite provides is its ease of use and automatic communications with customers. Natural State can text or email customers, and customers can respond within the software – and all the communication is stored in the customer’s account. Additionally, they use the platform’s Dashboard to view their completion rates, see what visits have been serviced and which ones are pending, and track its marketing spend. Its billing is easier too. Managers can use a filter to see which credit cards are about to expire and send a mass email versus calling each customer. Most importantly, Natural State Pest Control is hitting its revenue goals since generating invoices is no longer an issue, and it grew their customer base by 41 percent in 2020.

Since implementing the FieldRoutes operations suite, Natural State Pest Control enjoys:

  • Hitting their revenue goals

  • Easily communicating with customers

  • Signing new customers using a mobile device

“Our goal was to be as paperless as possible, and with PestRoutes, we’ve achieved that goal.”
