FieldRoutes (formerly PestRoutes and Lobster Marketing) was acquired by ServiceTitan, a leading software provider for the trades, in 2022. In 2009, while attending college and looking for some extra cash, FieldRoutes founder, Jared Green, decided to work summers as a salesperson at a local pest control company. It wasn’t long before he became frustrated by their outdated scheduling process and decided to do something about it. That’s when he got to work, building a system to help his team become more efficient, an application called TextRoutes. Pretty soon, he developed additional features to add even more automation to further boost productivity and in 2012, he updated the name to SalesRoutes.
It wasn’t long before other companies became interested in the new application and started using it for their businesses as well. Looking for new ways to improve, Jared asked his customers which operations software systems he should integrate with. They responded by telling him they weren’t too happy with their current solutions. Seeing an opportunity to do better, Jared asked what their ideal solution would look like. Then, he began building it. In 2012, he headed to McKinney, TX where he officially launched PestRoutes.
What started out as a basic sales scheduling and management system soon evolved, year-over-year into one of the leading field service solutions available. In 2018, PestRoutes partnered with Lobster Marketing, a marketing agency focused on serving pest control and field service clients. Founded in 2009 as PCOCentral, the company originally got its start in a basement office in Maine by two former pest control operators. It wasn’t long before they grew their client base, added new employees, and upgraded their office space. They would eventually rebrand to Lobster Marketing in 2012.
The result of this partnership was an integrated marketing solution that added website creation, search engine optimization, and digital marketing services to the ever-growing list of solutions. The two companies officially rebranded as FieldRoutes in 2021. And a year later, in 2022, the company was acquired by ServiceTitan – adding even more resources and expertise.
The spirit of innovation that sparked the initial development and built the foundation for who we are today continues to guide us as we work together to build the go-to solution for field service companies looking to grow quickly, scale effectively, and better serve their customers.
FieldRoutes, a ServiceTitan company, is based in the Dallas, TX area, but we are fully remote and have co-workers all around the world – from McKinney, TX to Macedonia!
