As we reflect on another year of growth and innovation, FieldRoutes is proud to have empowered the many pest control and field service businesses we serve to thrive in new ways.
Numbers don’t lie. And they help tell the story:
Businesses that move to FieldRoutes, within 18 months, see a 21% rise in annual revenue growth and 23% gain in number of customers.*
Forty-one of the 100 companies in the annual PCT Top 100 use FieldRoutes software.**
And within the PCT Top 100, FieldRoutes customers grew 30% faster than non-FieldRoutes companies, experiencing year-over-year revenue growth of 18.72% compared to 14.45% for businesses using other software platforms.**
FieldRoutes prioritizes customer needs as we develop innovative features and data-driven insights to enhance efficiency and drive more revenue, and 2024 was a landmark year in terms of the value we delivered to our customers.
"You guys are constantly listening to the consumer, the pest control operators, and adapting to what we need," says Kyle Selbach, director of operations at All "U" Need Pest Control. "It's noticed, and it's appreciated."
Our continued innovation is centered on how organizations can grow more quickly, scale intelligently, and serve their customers relentlessly, and we want to take the time to highlight how much has evolved.
Across five key themes – Grow Revenue, Gain Visibility and Insights, Achieve More with Less, Retain Customers, and Increase Profit – we've delivered a range of solutions designed to streamline operations, enhance customer experiences, and boost your bottom line.
"FieldRoutes software helps us to achieve our revenue goals and our financial goals by providing total transparency," says Zachariah Boardman, director of technical operations for HomeShield Pest Control.
We continue to offer more control and insight across office administration, scheduling and routing, services and payments, and sales and marketing. That offers benefits for everyone on the team but also helps deliver an outstanding experience for customers.
Multiple software updates are helping FieldRoutes customers generate more revenue and drive growth for their businesses.
Direct Mail Acquisition: Create direct mail segments that target potential customers using property data such as age, last sold date, and property value.
Convenience Payments: Provide a flexible way for end customers to pre-pay a standard amount on their preferred frequency and then have the invoice charge on each service automatically deducted from the balance.
Both of those features are opportunities for sales and marketing teams to employ a structure for consistent and profitable sales practices, to help them market at scale, and to offer flexibility to build attractive pricing and packages to capture more business with less effort. But there’s more.
Prepayments: Improve cash flow and simplify the billing process. Prepayments are effective for the business because customers can be offered a discount and/or an upsell in exchange for the customer paying future Service Plan costs upfront.
All three of these features, besides generating more revenue, assist the office and operations team and the operator because they offer new, automated capabilities that create time efficiencies for staff. They also add value by enhancing excellent and consistent customer service, which is critical to the long-term health of your business.
Your team needs to know. The office staff, technicians, and the operator benefit from sound operations, the logistics involved in making sure the correct personnel get to the right locations at the right time equipped with all of the information and tools needed to provide strong service. Those leading the business require access to finances to keep a pulse on the health of the business, oversee operations, manage teams, and find solutions each day.
Condition Codes: Allow technicians to identify and label findings at customers' sites so they can easily be tracked and managed and potentially used as leverage to upsell products and services.
Humidity Reporting: Equip your technicians to accurately record weather conditions for state compliance and pest control targeting, giving them the data they need to deliver exceptional service.
Custom Appointment Details: Tailor appointments to specific customer needs and preferences by creating and configuring new fields to record text, numbers, or decision-related data for specific service types in all appointments.
Dynamic Service Instructions: Empower your technicians with clear and concise instructions that can be customized for each service type and are split into internal and external appointment notes.
Accounts Receivables Oversight: Maintain tight control over your finances and accelerate collections. Office staff, managers, and operators need to monitor system-related activity, especially related to billing and accounts receivable features. This report provides a detailed employee activity log focused on more than 200 AR-related events to make monitoring this activity easier.
FieldRoutes software provides solutions that create efficiencies, for customers and for your office team, but also drive revenue growth for the company. Among the newest features:
Service Bundles: Easily combine service offerings into valuable and enticing solutions that you can manage across the entire business. Bundles can be created, sold, scheduled, and serviced by your technicians as a single unit and billed on a consolidated invoice for the end customer to pay in a single transaction. This tool provides a win for your customer and wins for everyone in your business.
Consolidated Invoicing: Simplify the billing experience with new options that eliminate sending numerous small invoices, reduce paperwork, and streamline administrative tasks.
Capacity Tracking and Scheduling: Track product capacity for scheduling purposes to avoid technicians needing to make unnecessary return trips to the office for refills and to maximize efficiency.
Multiple Round Scheduling: Efficiently plan, manage, and perform multi-round services with greater flexibility.
In-App Resource Center: Provide users easy access to news, help content, system information, and support in a location that's always available.
Elevating service to customers, and keeping them, is important for pest control companies. FieldRoutes can make high-quality and consistent customer experience the default for your team and better help them, in the office or in the field, quickly identify and capitalize on opportunities. Here are more ways to achieve that:
Fixed Appointment Scheduling: Provide customers with the convenience of predictable service schedules.
On-My-Way Notifications: Enhance customer satisfaction and transparency with real-time updates on arrivals, and offer peace of mind for customers by sending the technician's photo.
It's hard to grow profitably without a stellar customer experience, and pest control companies continue to look at any way they can further modernize, digitize, and streamline—something that’s much more easily done with a comprehensive solution that is specialized for pest and designed to cover the entire service lifecycle.
Standardized Discounts: Simplify and add consistency to your sales process by creating preset discounts that can be applied to Service Types and Plans.
Dynamic Pricing: Optimize your pricing strategies by job sizes and maximize your revenue potential.
Beyond product innovation, FieldRoutes has been dedicated to fostering a vibrant community of pest control professionals. While Ignite, our annual customer conference, is the highlight, we work year-round in multiple ways to bring together company and industry leaders, experts, and peers to share knowledge, network, and celebrate your successes.
Among them:
Ignite: Our third annual Ignite conference, destined to be bigger and bolder than its predecessors, will launch Sept. 15-17, 2025, in Anaheim, CA. Click to learn more and to sign up.
The 2024 conference, hosted by FieldRoutes and Aspire in Orlando, FL, featured more than 70 educational sessions and workshops focused on revenue generation, operational efficiency, performance strategies, accounting and finance, and optimized reporting; a keynote address from Athletic Greens (AG1) CEO Kat Cole; and a networking lunch organized by job role.
“Ignite is the No. 1 conference to go to in the pest control community,” says Thomas Harris, owner of Uinta Pest Solutions in Sandy, UT. “There's no conference that will impact my day-to-day life more.”
While FieldRoutes always salutes the success of all of its customers, the company showcased several of them in presenting its first Excellence Awards.
Many attendees also cite the new peer relationships—friendships, really—formed and the insight gained through informal discussions over meals or in hallways as well as the opportunity to meet with FieldRoutes team members to ask questions or offer feedback about the software.
Pathfinder Network: This community offers customers direct channels to engage with FieldRoutes team members to influence the platform's future.
"Our opinions matter and we're actually helping in developing things that are actually going to fit our needs," says Lisa Gartner, operations manager of Bill's Pest & Termite in Phoenix, AZ.
The Pathfinder Network also introduced peer-led discussions, giving pest control leaders a chance to collaborate and provide insights and recommendations to assist a colleague facing an issue or opportunity inside of their business.
Customer webinars: Join our FieldRoutes Fundamentals Live Q&A sessions, on the first and third Thursdays, and Deep Dives webinar series, on the second and fourth Tuesdays, to learn all about the essential features, capabilities, and approaches for using our platform effectively.
Routes to Greatness: The first Routes to Greatness session, in Chesterfield, MO, near St. Louis, brought together customers to meet with FieldRoutes experts to learn, share, and achieve more with the FieldRoutes platform.
FieldRoutes customers ramped up their games regarding routing, scheduling, reporting, and automation. But participants say integral parts of Routes to Greatness included hearing about challenges faced or strategies implemented by industry peers and making new contacts.
Pest in Class: FieldRoutes' second year of podcasting, serving up insight, inspiration, and stories from industry leaders, opened with a new host, Amanda Salvatore, and a new name, Pest in Class.
The podcast offers new episodes on Tuesday mornings. Listen at BeFieldFamous.com or on your favorite platform or watch on YouTube.
State of the Pest Industry: To gain a deeper understanding of the industry's evolving needs and priorities, FieldRoutes conducted its inaugural State of the Pest Industry survey.
By surveying more than 1,000 pest control professionals, we uncovered valuable insights that will help pest professionals plan for the year and also help us shape the future of our solutions.
FieldRoutes produced different ways to review the information. Sign up to see an on-demand webinar highlighting the findings and our customers’ experiences. Or put the information at your fingertips with a download of the report.
